Restricted Pokemon

Characters start off with six pokémon, and you the player can pick almost any released species! But, there are a few pokémon we don't want characters to have--in most cases, it's simply that we want a good reason to allow an exception, but there are also a few that we want them to acquire ingame rather than before play starts. There are also a few pokémon we just don't want characters to have at all.
